Neil Annenberg

Kaitohu Mātanga | Associate Consulting Director
New Zealand

Neil bridges the gap between strategic intent, decision flows, and operational delivery, i.e. ‘getting it done’. He specialises in organisational strategy, large scale transformation, governance, and co-design.

Neil makes sense of complex problems, crafting compelling arguments about the right strategies and interventions, backed up by formal governance and programme disciplines to deliver on the promise. Neil has led some of the biggest transformation programmes in Aotearoa New Zealand, and is a trusted to advisor, mentor and coach to sponsors and programme managers. He is particularly good at forming trusted relationships with and between diverse organisations in the public sector, not-for-profits and the private sector – bridging the gap and bringing people together.

Neil is especially passionate about democratising data so that information flows to and insights are shared with those who need it most. He has developed data governance frameworks that connect the social sector, honour and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This is about the safe, respectful and beneficial use of data for public good, accelerating and simplifying how information is shared, accessed and used. For our marginalised and most vulnerable citizens, this includes how their voices, stories, needs and perspectives are heard and valued – surfacing the evidence and bringing it to life.
